Welcome Message from Joe DiLucente, Superintendent
Wildcat Family,
It’s an excellent opportunity to serve as the East Allegheny School District superintendent. I am fortunate to have the privilege of seeing the hard work and efforts of our faculty, staff, and administrators every day as we work to implement new systems that culminate in more opportunities and the growth of our students.
I am proud to work with such a dedicated and passionate team. As we move forward together, we plan to focus on our core values of engaging academics, supporting student growth, aligning professional development, and fostering and maintaining a positive culture.
We plan to expand our curriculum to include more diverse course offerings, hands-on learning opportunities, and academic tracks that challenge and inspire students. With a focus on core academic practices and increased elective offerings, we can ensure that students are engaged in meaningful, real-world learning experiences that best prepare them for life after EA.
We must do this for all students to foster an inclusive environment and to ensure that equity remains at the core of everything we do. All students deserve access to high-quality education, and by connecting with our students and families, establishing credibility, and building trust, we will reduce barriers to success and foster a school culture where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered.
In today's rapidly evolving world, the ability to make data-informed decisions is more critical than ever. By effectively utilizing data, we can ensure that our resources — time, staff, or financial investments — are used wisely to maximize impact. To that end, we empower our educators with real-time data that helps them better understand student performance and learning needs. Teachers can identify points of emphasis through assessments and progress monitoring tools. These focal points allow us to ensure that we know how to meet your child's needs.
Our focus on data will help us make informed decisions about where resources are most needed. Whether it's directing additional support to grade levels or subjects with higher needs or investing in programs that have a proven impact on student achievement, we are committed to using our budget wisely. This also means reducing waste and ensuring we have a return on investment for your child and the East Allegheny community.
We look forward to our positive growth as a team, as your child deserves the best education we can provide!
Sincerely,
Joseph DiLucente
Superintendent
