Joseph Dilucente – Superintendent
East Allegheny School District
Joseph DiLucente has served as Superintendent of the East Allegheny School District since July 2023, bringing extensive experience in educational leadership, curriculum development, and culturally responsive instruction. He previously served as Principal of Logan Elementary School, where he led initiatives that strengthened student learning, engagement, and access to high-quality education.
With a strong background in English as a Second Language (ESL) education, Joe has worked in various capacities to enhance ESL programs for schools and educational institutions. His experience as an ESL teacher, curriculum administrator, and adjunct professor has centered on improving accessibility for all learners while recognizing the importance of language and cultural diversity in the classroom.
Joe's leadership is defined by his passion for building inclusive, innovative learning systems and his commitment to preparing students for success in school and beyond. His IU training and district-level leadership experience have shaped his vision of engaging academics and high expectations for all students within the East Allegheny community.
His latest tenure at EA is a return to his Western PA educational roots. Joe taught at the former Green Valley Elementary School and Logan Middle School from 2008 to 2013. He finds this District to fit him perfectly, creating a sense of "home" as it pertains to the close-knit relationships and community feel shared by fellow administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the community. Knowing the hopes of the community helps him plan and prepare for executive leadership and drives him to remain part of the connected core of the community.
