Darcy Yeloushan

Darcy Yeloushan, JSHS School Nurse, started the Future Nurses program in 2009-2010.  She tries to keep it to a small group of less than 10.   In the past, the group has done the Wellness Fair, bulletin boards, homecoming, recycle, Toys for Tots and open house.

Mrs. Yeloushan teaches them how to do blood pressures, heart rate and vital signs. We learn about different types of nursing, not just hospital nursing.  We have been on field trips to the School for the Deaf, School for the Blind, Children’s Institute, Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald house, CORE, and Children’s Home.   Mrs. Yeloushan opens it up to other medical fields as well, not just nursing.
