JR/SR High Teachers of the Month: September 2025

This September, East Allegheny's JR/SR High School proudly recognizes a group of dedicated educators who go above and beyond every day to support their students, colleagues, and school community.
Natalie Peel, Elyse White, and Bill Thomas have devoted countless hours to implementing OpenSciEd for the integrative science class, helping shape an engaging and innovative learning experience for students.
Jenn Smith, our “Geometry Queen,” not only shared resources and supported colleagues through Building Thinking Classrooms, but also efficiently managed the Chromebook distribution for grades 7–12—ensuring a smooth start to the school year.
Devin Milbourne has been a constant source of support for junior high staff and students, stepping in to assist with lessons and providing guidance that makes every day more effective and enjoyable.
Marcie Sippey has shown true leadership in the math department—balancing preparation for her own classes while researching and sharing valuable resources to support her colleagues.
Caitlyn Gasmen stands out for her consistency, reliability, and positivity, both in the classroom and as a colleague, setting a model of professionalism and care.
Becca Anselmo, Candice Tedesco, and Elisa Greb-Link took the initiative to transform the junior high hallways before the school year began, creating a warm, welcoming environment that reflects the pride and energy of our school community.
Finally, Matt Lorenzo continues to make a remarkable impact supporting EA’s ESL students and their families. His compassion, patience, and advocacy ensure every student feels connected, supported, and valued.
Together, these teachers exemplify what makes East Allegheny so special, collaboration, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to student success.
Congratulations to all our outstanding September honorees!
