NORTH VERSAILLES — An East Allegheny School District teacher received a big honor Tuesday. 

Mr. Jeffrey Merlo, an autistic support teacher at Logan Elementary, received WTAE's September Teacher of the Month recognition and a $1,000 check to use on the Donors Choose site, courtesy of Closets by Design.
