Chromebook Keyboard Shortcuts

Below are common Chromebook keyboard shortcuts. These are helpful for navigation, document creation, and productivity.

Editing Shortcuts

• Copy: Press Control + C

• Paste: Press Control + V

• Cut: Press Control + X

• Undo: Press Control + Z

Navigation & Tools

• Open Snipping Tool: Press Shift + Control + Show Windows key
  (The Show Windows key looks like a rectangle with two lines and is usually above the number 6.)

• Right Click: Press Alt + Click

• Caps Lock On or Off: Press Alt + Search key
  (The Search key replaces Caps Lock on Chromebooks.)

• Log Out: Press Control + Shift + Q twice

• Find in Page: Press Control + F

• Bookmark Page: Press Control + D

• Select Address Bar: Press Control + L

• Open a New Tab: Press Control + T

• Select All Items: Press Control + A

Google Workspace Shortcuts

• New Google Doc: Press Shift + T

• New Google Sheet: Press Shift + S

• Add a Hyperlink: Press Control + K

App and Tab Controls

• Open App from Shelf: Press Alt + Number key (1–9)
  (1 = first app on shelf from the left.)

• Switch Between Open Tabs: Press Control + Tab (or swipe with three fingers on the touchpad)
