Protocol for Administration of Standing Order Medications and First Aid Treatment
Standing orders help us provide timely first aid care in accordance with American Red Cross guidelines. When available, generic equivalents of the medications listed below may be used.
If you have any questions or prefer that these medications not be administered to your child, please contact the school nurse.
Student Medication Policy
If your student needs prescribed or over-the-counter medication during the school day, your physician must complete the Medication Administration form.

Epinephrine Auto Injector: Age/wt Appropriate In all incidents when an Epinephrine auto injector is needed, emergency ambulance services will be contacted for transportation of the student to the hospital |
| Respiratory Difficulty |
Albuterol Inhaler If 2 doses of Albuterol are given and the student is still experiencing respiratory distress, emergency ambulance service will be contacted for transportation of the student to the hospital |
| Suspected Opioid Overdose |
Narcan: as directed |
