Request Use of East Allegheny Facilities

School facility use may be granted to individuals and community groups for the following purposes:

  1. Educational Activities: Instruction in any branch of education, learning, or the arts, consistent with the district’s mission.

  2. Community Events: Social, civic, and recreational meetings or entertainment, and other activities that support the welfare of the community. These events must be non-exclusive and open to the public at no charge.

  3. Elections: Use of facilities as polling places for primaries, elections, and special elections, as permitted or required by state law.

  4. Athletics and Recreation: Recreation, physical training, and athletic activities, including competitive contests for children and adults.

East Allegheny School District Facilities Rules and Expectations

East Allegheny takes great pride in sharing our facilities with the community. To ensure a safe and positive experience for all, we ask that the following expectations be observed:

Building Entry: Please arrange for someone from your organization to admit participants unless you have contracted Kellington Security to staff all activities. Exterior doors may not be propped open. Audible alarms will be installed to alert staff if doors are left open. All participants must enter through Door 3 at the Jr./Sr. High School or Door 1 at Logan Elementary unless prior approval is granted. Most other doors will be designated Exit Only.

Restricted Areas: Many areas of our buildings are monitored by 24-hour camera surveillance. Please ensure that all participants remain in the areas assigned to your group to protect the belongings of our students and staff. We appreciate that many users are alumni who may wish to visit, but we ask that movement be limited to approved areas.

Controlled Access: Do not permit individuals who are not part of your group to enter the building. Coaches and club sponsors will have pre-arranged access as needed.

Emergency Contact: The North Versailles Police Department maintains a confidential list of key district staff members who can be contacted if assistance is needed while you are on campus.

Facility & Field Rules

  • No one is permitted on the track during school activities

  • No motorized or wheeled vehicles on athletic fields or the track
  • No motor vehicles may be driven on the track, grass areas, or in the stadium
  • No bikes, roller skates/blades, scooters, or skateboards
  • Do not place tape or markings on the turf, track, or gym floors
  • Do not move any equipment (nets, track equipment, etc.)
  • Only athletic shoes are permitted on the turf and track
  • Only food purchased from the concession stand is permitted
  • No pets allowed on the grounds
  • Organized athletic groups must have prior School Board approval to use the grounds

Entry, Exit & Supervision

  • All patrons must enter facilities through metal detectors
  • Fans attending winter sports at the Jr./Sr. High School must enter through Door 14 (first entrance on the stadium side)
  • Exiting fans will not be allowed re-entry
  • Entry after halftime is limited to athletes’ parents/guardians with a district-issued game pass
  • Students in grades K–8 must be accompanied by an adult at all times

 

Prohibited Items

  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No tobacco, smoking, or vaping
  • No open containers, coolers, cans, or bottles
  • No lasers
  • No fireworks
  • No noisemakers (horns, bells, whistles, etc.)
  • No weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, or concealed-carry weapons
  • No items the school may interpret as hazardous
  • No drones
  • No bags of any size permitted in the stadium or gymnasiums

Conduct & Safety Expectations

  • Treat all facilities with respect
  • Any prohibited item found on school grounds will be confiscated
  • Photo ID may be required
  • Shirts must be worn at all times
  • Please use garbage cans for trash disposal
